Don Layden

 

EVP and GM, President, ATM, Network and Banking

As President and General Manager of ATM, Network and Banking, Don is responsible for NCR’s overarching strategy, including long-term planning, strategic investments, and mergers and acquisitions. He also leads a new NCR business group created after the merger with Cardtronics, responsible for providing end-to-end network and payments solutions.

 

Before joining NCR, Don served as Chairman of the Board of Directors and President and CEO of USA Technologies (CTLP:NASDAQ), the leading provider of integrated software and payments solutions for unattended retail. Don also served as Executive Chairman and previously as Interim CEO of SafetyPay, a Latin American alternative payments provider, which recently announced its sale to PaySafe (PAY:NASDAQ).

 

Don has held executive-level positions with Metavante, Fiserv, and Marshall & Ilsey Corporation. Don has advised venture capital and private equity groups and served as a director of three public companies and several private fintech and payments companies throughout his career.

 

Don holds a Juris Doctor with honors from Marquette University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Marquette University. In 2013, Marquette recognized him as its Alumnus of the Year, and in 2015, he was recognized as a Distinguished Eagle Scout. Don serves on several nonprofit boards, including the United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties, where he is the incoming chair of the board. He also serves on the board of Alverno College, a federally designated Hispanic serving educational institution, and Consuelo Foundation, dedicated to eliminating and preventing child abuse and neglect in the Philippines and Hawaii.
