To better serve small and midsize businesses
Penn Community Bank has been offering digital banking for its business customers since 2010. However, its legacy solution primarily served the needs of high-end cash management customers. Therefore, it was falling short of supporting the demands of the small business market, which is critical to the bank's livelihood. The bank required a solution that would offer distinct benefits for its small and midsize business customers in addition to its larger customers with robust cash management needs.

Having seen positive and steady growth with its retail digital banking solution powered by NCR, it was an easy decision for the bank to migrate from its legacy business solution to NCR Business Digital Banking. NCR's significant investment in the platform has allowed Penn Community Bank to close several gaps with its former solution and better serve the needs of businesses of all sizes. It provides a suite of business-specific features, including ACH, domestic and international wires, user entitlements, approvals, bill pay, remote deposit capture, Positive Pay and more—all accessible through a desktop, tablet and mobile device.

Since migrating to NCR Business Digital Banking, Penn Community Bank has opened its business products to a broader range of companies in its market area. This new solution has also positioned the bank to compete among larger financial institutions. Since its migration, Penn Community Bank has experienced a 55% year-over-year increase in business digital banking users and an 88% year-over-year increase in businesses using ACH and wires. Additionally, the bank has achieved an overall 92% retention rate among its business customers—considered best in class in the industry.
