What they needed

To upgrade their aging ATM fleet

Founded in 1943, Scott Credit Union is a full-service financial institution. As a credit union, it is a not-for-profit financial cooperative dedicated to helping members get the best value for their money and reach their financial goals. All its account holders are members of the credit union and all its board members are volunteers. There is a culture of careful cost management, so that more money can be retained for the financial well-being of members.

But the credit union was dealing with aging hardware and software, and was due for a technology refresh. It was time for a new user experience at their ATMs. They needed ways to upgrade for improved usability and convenience, while building in flexibility to add future innovations and improved risk management. And they needed to do it all within a controlled, predictable cost structure.

What we delivered

NCR ATM as a Service

Scott Credit Union chose NCR’s ATM as a Service to refresh 30+ ATMs that NCR will own and run. The project includes a new ATM user interface for a modern and consistent look, feel and flow, which includes modern features like cardless and contactless transactions. They selected NCR’s ATMaaS in part because it offered simplified billing that meant they could move their ATM expenses from CAPEX to OPEX, and be free of the burden of day-to-day ATM management, with NCR owning the assets. And they expect to mitigate risk through NCR’s compliance and security services and guaranteed SLAs.

What happened next

A perfect 10 in member satisfaction

The new system helped Scott Credit Union redefine and upgrade their digital services for members while controlling costs, ensuring compliance and building in opportunities for future upgrades. The result was well-received by their members, who gave them a perfect “10” on their latest member satisfaction survey. And they have the platform they need to continue to add new services and enhanced transaction capabilities, such as Interactive Teller Machine functionality, which they'll deploy in the near future.
